A Calculation Model for Determining the Bearing Capacity of Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Beams on the Shear

This article presents research on the bearing capacity and methods of calculating reinforced concrete beams shear without internal reinforcement, which are strengthened with a composite FRCM system. The test samples were divided into two series: first series—control, in variable parameter was span (a/d = 2, a/d 1.5, 1); second series—reinforced by system, load, at different load levels. method experimental tested according to current code data from fib report. In this article, recommendations for determining angle inclined struts θ, coefficient strength CRd,c, level strengthening is performed proposed. calculation these showed good convergence theoretical 16–29% range, much higher than recommendations.
